John Malatesta is a small business owner, entrepreneur, veteran, and investor — but above all, he is a family man. His journey has taken him from military service to international protective operations, and today, to running a successful real estate management firm. He is passionate about building strong relationships, growing impactful businesses, and creating long-term value for the clients I serve.

His interests include an appreciation for travel, culture, and new experiences.  Whether he is exploring unfamiliar places or simply spending time with friends and family, he believes in making the most of life’s moments. He is an avid reader, a regular at the movies, and always up for a great night out filled with good company and meaningful conversation.

Prior to being a small business owner, John proudly served in the United States Army from 1999 to 2008, including a deployment to the Middle East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom II. After his military service, he transitioned to the private security sector, working with the U.S. Department of State as part of the Worldwide Protective Services program. His work included protecting high-level diplomats, ambassadors, and heads of state.

Roughly a decade ago, he founded PMI of Fairfax, a full-service property management company. They specialize in managing real estate investments from A to Z — pricing rentals, sourcing and vetting tenants, and handling every aspect of day-to-day operations. Their goal is to take the stress out of property ownership and deliver dependable, long-term results for our clients.
